The amount we received through the Sponsor a Pet grant program was just enough to cover the cost of a microchip for Ozzie, an Australian Cattle Dog mix. All foster dogs are microchipped so that in the event that should they go missing, we can get them back to their owners when they are found. From Ozzie’s Petfinder profile: “Ozzie is approximately 5 years old. He is good with other dogs, especially female or small dogs. Ozzie is good in the house and feels safest in his crate. He is wary of strangers who try to make friends — he tends to keep his distance, be guarded and will bark at them.
