How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used the money specifically for food for our dogs.

It gave us about a month of food without having to dig into our pockets and we were able to use what money we would have spent on food to help keep our facility up and going. We were able to feed all of our dogs, including those who needed specialty food. We were also able to buy the calming treats we needed to help our shelter dogs get through the 4th of July fireworks.

Maude is one of our senior dogs who came to us very malnourished and frightened. She required specialty food and calming treats to get through the nights at the shelter and then in a foster home. This grant has helped us get her on a specialty food and on calming treats that have helped her get better and more calm. She has not been adopted yet but we have a few applications in for her as of this week. Meet Maude here.
