Jason Heigl Foundation: Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We have been using the Canon EO5 for taking photos of our dogs that we have rescued out the the shelters to place on our website and social media. We have also have used this camera to document our transports that we do out of the LA County Shelters to our destination shelters.

We use the photos when working with our possible local adopters and destination shelters. The photos are a great marketing tool which encourages adoption and rescue.

How many pets did this grant help?

About 25 dogs

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Parker, is a 2 year old Chihuahua mix who was a rescue from Baldwin Park Shelter that was taken on transport to another Southern California shelter. There he was diagnosed with Epilepsy. We took him back under the Heigl Foundation. Taking his photo, and networking Parker around, we were able to find a foster home for Parker to manage his health and wellness.
