Saving Grace Rescue, Inc.: Bar Dog Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The funds were used to buy medication and supplies to help treat a young kitten, Jean Luc, who had suffered from a fan belt injury resulting in the amputation of one leg. The bulk purchase of antibiotics also allowed for treatment of multiple kittens with various injuries or infections.

This grant helped our most in-need kittens recover from illness and trauma to become adoptable and go on to live full lives.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Jean Luc (first photo) was brought in to a county shelter with mangled hind legs, exposed bone, and infection. His treatment required multiple interventions, including strong antibiotics that we were able to purchase using the grant funding. Jean Luc is very sweet and has a pending adoption. He also bonded to another sweet kitten, Laurel (second photo), who had experienced trauma.

You can meet Jean Luc here.
