How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant gave us the ability to purchase Adopt Me gear such as bandanas and leash sleeves. This has increased our adoptable pets' visibility in the public and at events. Over time, we hope this will lead to less time in our care and quicker placement into forever homes.
Our adult dogs are kept on-leash with handlers when we are at adoption events, which previously created confusion as to whether the dog was actually the person's or available for adoption. This gear clearly demonstrates that these dogs are available for adoption.

Momma Minerva got to make her adoption event debut this past weekend wearing her new Adopt Me gear thanks to the Petfinder Foundation Dog Field Trip Grant. She was quickly scooped up by a neighboring photographer who did her Adopt Me photoshoot. We hope Momma Minerva, who was dumped at the shelter with her three babies, will find her forever home soon!
