Fosters & Paws: No Fee/Low Fee All Love Adoption Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

With the support of the Petfinder Foundation and the grant funding we received, Fosters & Paws was able to successfully place 10 dogs into loving forever homes. The grant helped offset critical costs, including veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, food, and daily care while the dogs waited for adoption. Through increased visibility on Petfinder and the resources provided by this funding, we were able to connect these dogs with families who were the right fit for them, giving each animal a safe and stable future.

How many pets did this grant help?

10-15

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Joan (first photo) came into Fosters & Paws’ care from a heartbreaking hoarding case after being rescued by the shelter. Like so many dogs from situations like this, she arrived scared, shut down, and in desperate need of medical attention and patience. She required multiple veterinary visits and ongoing care to address both her physical and emotional recovery.

Over time, Joan slowly began to trust again. With consistency, love, and the support of our rescue community, her personality started to shine through. She learned what it meant to feel safe, cared for, and loved.

The support we received through the Petfinder Foundation grant played a critical role in Joan’s journey. The funding helped cover essential veterinary care and daily support while she healed and waited for the right family to find her. Because of this assistance, we were able to give Joan the time and care she truly needed instead of rushing her placement.

Today, Joan is thriving in her forever home with a family who adores her (second photo). Watching her transformation from a frightened dog with an uncertain future into a beloved family member is exactly why this work matters. Joan’s story is a reminder of the incredible impact that rescue partnerships and grant support can have on the lives of animals in need.
