How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We received products and used them to maintain our rescue dogs. We keep 25-30 dogs and all get bathed and groomed at least monthly. We have had two with severe skin problems come in and the maintenance of their coats has completely healed their baldness. We run through a ton of grooming products because our rescues live outside in the high desert. It's a dirty business.

We saved some of the costs we usually have and we were able to provide a higher level of care with limited funds.

Our dogs come from shelters and they arrive stinky, filthy, and uncomfortable. They become different dogs when they feel better. We had a snow-white dog who had come to us after living under a truck. We thought he was multicolored until he was bathed, then found the prettiest white dog under all of that. Was he happy to be clean and feeling special! His name is Brighton.
