How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The 2024 Other Animals Grant helped our organization to complete medical testing and wellness exams for three parrots in our care. Having these tests completed allows the selected birds, Ruby, Jackpot, and Bobbi, to become available for adoption. Receiving $800 from the Petfinder Foundation almost completely covered these necessary medical costs. This support is invaluable, as veterinary expenses continue to dominate our annual budget.

Ruby (first photo) the eclectus parrot is currently meeting with a family with hopes that they will soon adopt her! The 2024 Other Animals grant has removed a barrier to adoption for Ruby, meaning that once her new family is ready to take her home, she will be readily available to make the transition.
