How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We rescued a mother, father, and seven puppies from a high[-intake] shelter.

We used it to purchase high-quality dog food, pee-pee pads, microchips, check-ups at the vet, and vaccines. One puppy has a heart murmur and needed a sonogram and now needs to be on a special medication to help it hopefully close.

Winslow was diagnosed with a heart murmur at 6 weeks old and needed a sonogram to determine what type of murmur he had and how severe. He now needs to be on a special medication to help it hopefully close. His adoptive family didn’t care that he perhaps may not live a long life and would need medication. They wanted him regardless.
