Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Max came to the Humane Society from a neighboring, rural county in February of 2022. For the first several weeks he was with us, Max was transferred into and out of foster homes.

On March 18, Max was adopted into what we hoped would be his forever home. Unfortunately, his adopter returned Max to us on April 30 due to “behavior issues,” but he wouldn’t specify what those were.

Our staff lovingly took him back in and set him up with a previous foster until May 3, when his forever family walked in to adopt him. Max’s mom regularly posts photos and updates on our adopters’ Facebook page about how much love and fun they now share.
