Truly All Cats Trapping and Rescue: Emergency Medical Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant helped our rescue fund the tail amputation of a kitten we found with a fully degloved tail. Seeing her condition, we went straight to the vet for surgery. Having the Petfinder Foundation support us financially allowed us to help Bobbie Sue feel better and become the sweet, shy little kitty she is today.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

When we were contacted to help trap a litter of four kittens and their feral mom, we immediately got to work. After successfully trapping the kittens to bring them into the rescue and get them ready for adoption, we were horrified at the condition of one of the kittens.

Bobbie Sue’s tail was completely degloved; all of the skin and tissue was gone, leaving nothing but just the bare bone.

We got her into the vet right away and had her tail amputated. She recovered very well and is still searching for her furrever home, along with two of her siblings. Due to their shy nature, they have been overlooked. They are very sweet and love to play and would warm up in a home environment if given the chance.

You can meet Bobbie Sue here.
