Miami-Dade County Animal Services: Cat Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Miami-Dade County Animal Services received a Cat Enrichment Grant from the Petfinder Foundation. This generous grant enabled the organization to enhance the well-being of cats in their care by providing additional enrichment activities and resources. Such enrichment is crucial for maintaining the physical and mental health of shelter cats, making them more adoptable and improving their overall quality of life.

The grant funds were utilized to help aid our foster program. With these funds, we were able to purchase items that are essential to the program. Items included cat toys, miracle nipple cream, nutritional gel, and cat playpens. By securing such grants, Miami-Dade County Animal Services continues to enhance the care provided to foster cats, ultimately increasing their chances of finding permanent, loving homes.
