Animal Rescue Konsortium (ARK): KONG Toys Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our rescue group is located in a financially underserved/unserved community. It's very difficult for us to have the funds to provide our dogs with anything more than the basic necessities. This grant will help us to further enrich their lives while they are in our care. Because Kongs are highly durable, each one will help multiple dogs over time.

The Kongs will be used for dogs of all ages while they are in their crates, and some will be used while they are playing outside in the play yard -- which, by the way, has been made possible by one of your other generous grants (a Play Yard Renovation Grant).

Xena, our foster German shepherd (first and second photos), loves to play, run, and fetch any toys. She loves the Kong toys and also loves them with peanut butter. She hopefully will be adopted soon and, of course, she will go to her forever home with two of the Kong toys.
