How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We received a very large box of Kong toys. These toys will be used for over 200 animals throughout the course of the next year.

Kong toys provide chewing pleasure for our dogs. It is a great pastime for them as they try to get the treat from the Kong toy. Additionally, it helps to keep their gums and teeth healthy.

How many pets did this grant help?

It will help approximately 200 dogs over the course of the next year!

Charlotte is a very shy spaniel and Schnauzer mix. When you come into her kennel, she runs and it is difficult to give her the love she needs. After we gave her the Kong toy, however, she settled down to begin chewing and allowed us to pet her and love on her. We feel the Kong toys will help us make her more adoptable and more trusting, as they calm her. Thank you for giving us these wonderful toys!
