Amazing Mutts and Wiggle Butts: KONG Toys Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We love KONGS!!! We use them for everything, so having Kongs donated meant we could spend that money on medical and other expenses. Thank you!

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Toby (first photo) and Kipper (second photo) have recently undergone heartworm treatment, which requires four weeks of crate rest! Crate rest is no fun. To keep them busy in the crate, we place peanut butter in a Kong and place it in the freezer overnight. It will keep them busy in the crate for a little while.

Kipper has been adopted but Toby is still looking for love! You can meet Toby here.

Diamond (third and fourth photos) and Bonnie both came to our rescue with crate anxiety. To help make the crate more fun, we throw in a Kong with a Milkbone biscuit. They follow the fun toy into the crate and then get a treat, making crate time fun.

Both these babies are looking for their forever spot. Meet Diamond here. Meet Bonnie here.

Puppies! So many puppies. The little Kongs give them something to chew on while they are teething. And because they are KONG strong, we don’t have to replace them every few days like other puppy toys.

All of our available puppies have been adopted. We have two litters that are 2 weeks old today and we can’t wait for them to start running around and playing with toys!
