How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant allowed us to provide half-price adoption fees. Our current rates are $65 for cats and $165 for dogs. With this grant, we reduced each fee by 50%, or $32.50 for cats and $82.50 for dogs. We believe it was an outstanding success, with many animals finding their forever homes. We undoubtedly adopted out more animals faster than if we had not received the grant.

Hardy (first photo) was adopted because of the Petfinder Foundation Kia adoption grant after coming to the shelter as a kitten in February 2023. Black cats typically take the longest to adopt, and he was at the shelter for more than two and a half years. This sweet boy won over his new mom and will be enjoying his new home in Missouri with a new fur sister.
