Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The KIA Pet Adoption Grant has provided Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary with the funding to provide more families access to pet adoption by helping us provide for each adopted dog/cat in our care: spay/neuter, microchipping, heartworm testing, and a full round of vaccinations. These grant funds help support our mission of finding every pet in our care a forever family.

How many pets did this grant help?

We expect to match 50 pets with forever homes.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Monolo is featured in our Kia grant announcement. He has all his shots and is heartworm tested, microchipped, and on flea preventative. He’s about 7 to 8 months old and a parvo survivor. He was set to be euthanized because he had parvo; Always and Furever said not on our watch! We pulled him and got him the medical attention he needed. Now, he’s ready for his furever home and a big yard. Monolo could use a foster home until he finds the right home. Monolo is dog-friendly and knows sit, although he needs help learning other commands. He is very treat-motivated. He has not been adopted at time of this report; however, we are sure he will be matched with a forever family very soon.

Meet Manolo here.
