How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The P.L.A.Y. Pet Beds Grant has made a tremendous difference for our shelter pets by providing them with comfort, warmth, and a true sense of security during their stay with us. Many of the animals we take in have come from stressful or neglectful situations, and having a soft, high-quality bed to rest on helps them relax, recover, and feel loved while they wait for their forever homes.

These beds have not only improved the physical well-being of our pets by keeping them off cold, hard floors, but have also positively impacted their emotional health, helping them feel calmer and more at ease. We are incredibly grateful to P.L.A.Y. for their generosity and commitment to improving the lives of shelter animals.

The P.L.A.Y. Pet Beds Grant made a heartwarming impact on one of our shelter residents: Princess, a 6-year-old Chihuahua who came to us timid and unsure after being surrendered by her previous owner.

Thanks to the cozy new bed provided through the grant, Princess quickly found a safe space where she could relax and begin to trust again. She loved curling up in her soft bed, often burrowing under her blanket with just her little nose peeking out.

Having that comfort made all the difference — her personality began to shine and she greeted staff and visitors with tail wags and gentle affection. The transformation was incredible, and before long, Princess found her forever home.

Her story is a beautiful reminder of how something as simple as a comfortable bed can change a shelter pet’s entire outlook and help pave the way to adoption.
