How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Medical bills, especially timely for two dogs who came to us who had been attacked by other dogs.

We were able to pay our vet for necessary immediate medical attention for two Boxers with severe dog bite wounds, requiring laser surgery and a long stay at the vet clinic.

Moe and Violet were taken to a clinic in Lake Charles after having been attacked by other dogs. Their owner could not afford vet care and relinquished the dogs to us. They received the immediate care they needed and we were able to pay for 80 percent of the cost with our Petfinder Foundation grant.
