Take Paws Rescue: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We purchased consumables for the animals in our care, including flea and tick medication, heartworm prevention and good-quality food.

Our intake for this year has already surpassed last year's total, and the COVID outbreak has caused our donations and adoption events to falter. The grant allowed us to replenish our consumable supplies so that we can continue to give the animals in our rescue the best care possible.

How many pets did this grant help?

200+

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Vivian and Roman were left confined on the porch of an abandoned house in the scorching summer heat with no food or water. They are adorable boxer/bulldog mixes, and as you can see from their picture, have injured their feet trying to get out of their jail. They are both high heartworm-positive and in need of medical care for their feet. With your generous donation, we have been able to rescue these two babies and get them started on their journey back to health.
