God’s PAWS Rescue and Shelter: Dog Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our shelter was able to purchase agility equipment such as agility tunnels, bungee tug toys, herding balls, and materials to build agility ramps. We were able to enhance our newly renovated play yards to enrich and mentally stimulate our dogs during playtime. This has been an enormous stress reliever for them!

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Bradley has been with us for around six months. He has a lot of nervous energy and paces a lot in his kennel. He also started barking at his doggy neighbors in the kennel next to him in a way that appeared aggressive.

We have seen a noticeable change in his pacing and his barking since getting the enrichment items and agility equipment, specifically the herding ball. He wears himself out batting it around with his nose and chasing it around the play yard. When he goes back to his kennel, he is quite tired and is as quiet as a mouse!

Meet Bradley here.
