Saved By A Vet Tech Rescue: Dog Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant allowed us to purchase some dog agility-course equipment to be used for our dogs who have been with us nearly two years at this point. Many of them are young, active dogs who needed a new energy outlet to help keep their minds healthy while they wait for homes.
The funds were also used to purchase sniff matts and food puzzles to provide enrichment indoors, too. We are so grateful we were able to offer these extra supplies to our foster homes to help accomplish this thanks to this grant.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Kya had been with our rescue for nearly two years, since she was four months old. She was guessed to be a shepherd mix of some sort and was always behaviorally challenged.
When she came to us, she was incredibly cage-reactive and aggressive with other dogs. She was high-energy and, because she couldn’t safely play with the other dogs in her foster home, we needed a different outlet for her energy.
This grant provided the funds for us to get agility equipment that she GREATLY benefitted from and she was was able to get adopted (finally)!
