How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Monies were used to purchase FelOCell vaccines and FIV/FelV tests.

The grant helped the felines in our care by enabling us to provide vaccinations every two weeks and test for FIV/FelV, which helps the cats to be adopted, since the adopter does not have to do this.

How many pets did this grant help?

We purchased 35 kits and 50 doses of FelOCell3.

AuCaDo Rescue was able to provide FIV/FelV testing for kittens that attended the National Adoption Event September 11-13. The rescue adopted out six felines (and one canine) during the adoption event. Sunday evening, before closing up, a family adopted Theo, an abandoned kitten. The followup success story/update follows: “Thank you so much! Theo has been great and is very comfortable in our home and around our other animals. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect kitten. Thank you so much for being there and allowing us to adopt Theo. My daughter has named him Sir Theodorable Purrs Alot and of course we call him Theo for short, lol. 🙂 “
