A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue: Cat Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue is so very grateful for the Cat Enrichment Grant from the Petfinder Foundation. The grant enabled us to buy some wonderful and badly-needed enrichment items for our community cat room. Some of the favorite new things that our cats are enjoying are a new cat tower, a cat tunnel bed, and a cat arch self-groomer. Other enrichment items included scratch pads, puzzle feeders, and activity games that will be used to benefit many of our rescue cats throughout the years!

Jack (first photo) and Chrissy (second photo) were some of the kittens in the community cat room at A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue when the enrichment toys arrived.

They were both very spunky kittens and LOVED to race around, even sliding right into the walls! They enjoyed chasing each other through the tunnel and playing with the arch toy. Like toddlers, they had a lot of energy, and the enrichment toys were perfect to keep them occupied.

They were recently adopted into their forever homes and we are thankful to the Petfinder Foundation for providing cat enrichment toys for our shelter.
