How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant allowed us to replace five dog beds in our kennels, which means it helped five dogs instantly, but will help many dogs going forward! We purchased Kuranda dog beds, which have been durable and long-lasting for us in the past.

Recently, we had two dogs come in together as strays who had been rescued by our community.

These two dogs, whom we named Remy and Desiree, had been on the run for quite some time and finally trusted a community member to take them in. We were able to meet up with the community member and bring the dogs to the vet instantly for a check-over and grooming, as they were dirty and very matted.

When they came to the shelter after the vet, we were able to provide them with the brand new Kuranda beds. It meant a lot for us to provide them with a comfortable home since they had been living outside for who knows how long.

They were both adopted not too long ago! We take pride in providing animals with comfort and love while they stay with us.
