Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Back in August, we were contacted by IACS in Indianapolis, IN, about a stray boxer boy who had arrived at the shelter with a badly broken leg. With a foster offer, we were able to bring Ricky Bobby into the rescue and get him straight to Noah’s in Indianapolis to get all checked over and determine which surgery option was best to repair the leg.

During that time, his doctor at the vet clinic fell in love with him, took him home to foster to adopt, got him through the surgery and recovery, and there he stayed. With the help of the Petfinder Foundation grant, we were able to get Ricky the emergency surgery needed to repair the leg on Sept. 11 and it went great! His leg healed beautifully and Ricky has been adopted by his foster family.

From Ricky Bobby’s mom: “He’s doing great! He’s an active boy who loves to run and play fetch and tug. He’s also a big cuddlebug and snuggles with everyone.”
