Annabelle has been in and out of the shelter for most of her life. While her original owner had reclaimed her several times, she always ended up back at the shelter. She is a very good dog, whom we had found out had been tied up and left on a porch with no food.

Annabelle found her way back to the shelter and this time was heartworm-positive. Staff made sure she had all her treatments and was once again ready for her forever home.

Several months ago, she was adopted by a family that staff thought would be great for her. Not realizing it takes time to get an animal adjusted to new surroundings, the family brought Annabelle back through no fault of her own; she has been quiet and calm while here at the shelter. She does not use the bathroom in her create and is very friendly.
