This grant helped our organization and pets by relieving a lot of the stress that happens in shelters. These dogs are able to enjoy a long lasting toy while digging for treats we put in the Kongs for them.

We had a dog here named Mufasa, who has since been adopted to a wonderful family, who benefited so much from this grant as the Kong toys were his favorite. It was like these toys gave him a sense of security because he always carried them around in his mouth.

We would fill the toy with frozen food or treats topped with some peanut butter and he would spend a relaxing hour getting to his delicious treat while not having to be stressed out by his environment.

We have had multiple dogs who come to us very stressed and we are able to give them the durable Kong toys to keep their minds occupied with something else for a while.
