Pearl is an 11-year-old retriever mix who was surrendered to the county shelter in Houston, Texas. She was released for euthanasia, but one of our fosters agreed to take her home. She had been in our care for almost a year when we received an adopter for her.

Previously, we had many people reach out, but they could not commit to our adoption donation. We transport our dogs to other states and that cost is included in our donation, so it’s not something we can eliminate. Once we we received the grant and could adjust Pearl’s donation, the perfect home found her! She has been doing really great!
