Fayetteville Animal Protection Society: Orvis Dog Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Umbilical hernia repair, heartworm treatment, spays, neuters, and medicines.

These funds helped us to get animals ready for adoption more quickly (by not having to wait for funds) so that we can adopt out more animals!

How many pets did this grant help?

26 in total: Five spays, two neuters, 18 rabies vaccinations, one heartworm treatment

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Louie came into the shelter with high-antigen heartworms, meaning that his heartworms were advanced and it was too late to do the slow-kill method. With this grant we were able to get him the heartworm treatment he needed in a timely manner, and he was adopted out soon after!
