Purrfect Catpanion: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used this grant to create a "Home for the Holidays" promotion in November and December 2023 where we reduced adoption fees for adult cats who had been with our rescue a long time.

We did a social media push for the promotion on Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor where we included a shout-out to the Petfinder Foundation and Kia for the grant. We created a little logo for the grant that we placed on our social media posts. Our members also posted the promotion to their social media feeds. This increased interest in our promotion cats! We created special holiday-themed graphics for the promotion.

So far, out of 10 cats in the promotion, seven have been adopted! We still have the promotion going and will continue until the final three are adopted.

Beautiful Betty (first photo) had been on Petfinder since Oct. 19, 2023, without any interest.

She is such a beautiful girl that we knew she just needed a special push to get adopted. So we had her foster dress her up in a holiday outfit and we took photos for our “Home for the Holidays” promo and pushed out special social media posts about her.

In December, we got an interested adopter who met and loved her and she was adopted! She is happily at home with her furrever family and we couldn’t be happier for her!
