Pitties and Pals Rescue: KONG Toys Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The KONG grant helped Pittie and Pals Rescue by providing durable enrichment toys that improved the well-being of the dogs in our care. These toys helped reduce stress, provided mental stimulation, and kept the dogs engaged while they waited for their forever homes. By offering a healthy outlet for chewing and play, the grant contributed to better behavior and overall happiness, making the dogs more adoptable. Additionally, the enrichment support helped our team by giving the dogs positive activities, making daily care and training easier.

Oliver Blu has been waiting patiently for his forever home, and thanks to the KONG grant, his time in foster has been filled with enrichment, comfort, and plenty of fun!

When Oliver first left boarding and entered his foster home, he was a little unsure of his new surroundings. But with the help of his favorite KONG toy, stuffed with peanut butter and frozen treats, he quickly found a way to settle in. This toy gives him something to focus on, keeping his mind engaged while helping him feel safe and secure. He loves tossing his KONG around, nudging it across the floor and, of course, licking out every last bit of his tasty treats.

Since Oliver isn’t the most active pup, his KONGs have been a great way to keep him entertained between his short walks and sunny naps. They also helped reinforce his crate training, making his transition to foster life even smoother.

Oliver Blu is still looking for his perfect match: someone who wants a sweet, low-maintenance companion who will happily lounge by their side, soak up all the affection, and enjoy some KONG time between cuddles.

Meet Oliver Blu here.
