How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our grant was used to fund the veterinary expenses we incur every month. Our bills run hundreds of dollars per month and this grant helped tremendously with that! The dog beds are used for our foster homes so the dogs in our care have their own bed to sleep in.

This grant not only brought us closer to our community by encouraging people to vote everyday, it attracted people to our page and website. It also got us media attention (TV and Newspaper). This helped our pets because we are all volunteer and donation driven so without the funding, we can't save lives.. So thank you!!

How many pets did this grant help?

This grant helped 3 dogs. It costs us approximately $125 to vet a healthy dog and much more for sick dogs.

This grant helped cover the care of one of our geriatric dogs who was found as a stray. She was emaciated, flea infested and about 14 years old. She could hardly walk she was so weak. The owners were located and she had only been missing for less than an hour before people found her. Due to her condition, a report was filed and charges are pending for animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect. A photo of this dog is attached. It was taken the day we found her and she was too weak to walk.
