How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used the funds to help our adopters get lower adoption fees; for example, kittens Oliver and Izzy were adopted at a lower cost ($150) than the regular cost ($350). Oliver and Izzy were adopted through our foster-to-adopt program, which further encouraged our foster volunteers to adopt the cats in their care. In addition to this, we helped three other kittens find loving homes.

Oliver and Izzy were in our foster-to-adopt program and, thanks to Kia, were adopted by their foster. Adopting two kittens normally costs $350, but with the Kia Pet Adoption Grant, that fee was reduced to $150.

Our foster parents often get attached to their foster kittens, and offering this option was very helpful to encourage some of them to keep the cats as their forever companions.
