Hi! I’m Oreo. I am a small Staffordshire terrier and weigh about 30 lbs. Despite my size, I am full of energy and very athletic. I love to go running every morning, play ball, and play with other dogs. When I came to HALO, I was very anxious and frustrated. You see, I am barely a year old, but I’ve already had babies. I was brought into a vet clinic because of complications. The vet took great care of me, but my owners couldn’t pay the bill and surrendered me. Sadly, I lived at the vet clinic for almost three months. I developed stereotypical behavior (I chase my tail) as a way to cope with living in the small cage in the clinic. I became cage-reactive and the vet considered euthanasia. Thankfully, many people at the clinic were in love with me and ask HALO to take me.

I have lived with HALO for several months. No, I am not perfect and still chase my tail when I get frustrated, but I am the sweetest girl around. I love to cuddle in bed and on the couch with my HALO person and I give great kisses. I am vocal when I don’t get my way, I don’t like to share my toys, and I keep everyone on their toes. I love to go on car rides, and I’m actually an excellent passenger. I love to chew on my Kong toy! At this time, I would not do well with kids or cats. I am a dominant dog and, although I play with other dogs, it would be best to be the only dog in the house. If you are an active person but love to hang out on the couch, I am your girl!
