Precious Paws Rescue: GF Pet Products Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The products generously donated through this grant, including collars, leashes, dog coats, and other vital supplies, have played a crucial role in enhancing the care and comfort of the dogs in our foster program. These items have not only met the basic needs of the animals, but have also allowed us to allocate more resources towards essential veterinary care.

With these donated products, we have been able to supply our foster families with high-quality essentials without the need to make additional purchases. This has not only eased the financial burden on our foster families, but has also ensured that the donation dollars received can be redirected to critical areas such as veterinary care, medical treatments, and other necessary interventions for our rescue dogs.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Your grant has not only facilitated the provision of essential supplies, but has also played a vital role in the recovery and well-being of a special pup named Tina.

Tina, a 3-month-old retriever mix, had a challenging start to life. Purchased from a puppy mill, she fell victim to parvovirus just days after her owners brought her home. Unable to afford the necessary treatment, Tina’s owners made the difficult decision to surrender her to a local veterinary clinic. This is where the journey of hope and healing for Tina truly began.

The veterinary clinic, recognizing the urgency of Tina’s situation, reached out to Precious Paws Rescue. After Tina spent several days in critical care and then the following weeks made progress in her foster home, we are delighted to report that she has successfully recovered from parvovirus.

As part of Tina’s rehabilitation and preparation for adoption, we utilized the products received through your grant to provide her with a cozy, warm coat, a new collar, and a leash. These items not only enhanced Tina’s physical comfort, but also contributed to her overall wellbeing during a critical stage of her recovery.

Tina is now in the process of completing her veterinary check-ups and vaccinations, and she will be ready for adoption soon. When Tina finds her forever home, she will be equipped with the comfort and security of the coat, collar, and leash provided through your grant. These items not only serve a practical purpose, but also symbolize the care and compassion that organizations like yours bring to the lives of animals in need.
