Our rescue is entirely foster-based and we are committed to ensuring that fosters receive everything they need to successfully care for the dogs in their homes. We are constantly in need of the products we received through this grant, especially collars and leashes to reduce the risk of flight and keep our dogs safe when they are out of their foster homes.

My foster Beretta is a strong Belgian Malinois mix and, as wonderful and delightful as she is, she loves to pull hard on walks. Her breed requires a lot of regular exercise to keep her happy and healthy. I’m a foster to many dogs and my arms get sore and tired from all the pulling. It is also not safe to be pulled with your arm extended, as it puts you off balance, especially in poor weather.

The waist-clip leash that was supplied by GF pets was a lifesaver. I was able to safely walk her even while reaching in the pocket on the leash belt for treats to reward her good behavior!
