All Paws Rescue Services: Purina Canada Happy Paws & Hearts Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The 2026 Operation Grant from the Petfinder Foundation provided critical support for the day-to-day care of adoptable cats in our foster program. Grant funds were applied over a three-month period toward essential operational expenses, including food, litter, routine vaccines, parasite prevention, and basic medical supplies required for cats in foster homes.

This support allowed All Paws Rescue to not only maintain consistent care for cats already in our program, but also to intake an additional 14 cats during the grant period. These cats received vaccines, parasite prevention, proper nutrition, and safe foster placement upon intake. By offsetting routine care costs, the grant helped ensure cats remained healthy, comfortable, and adoption-ready while allowing our organization to continue responding to new cats in need.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Some of the cats supported by the 2026 Operation Grant included 14 new intakes made possible during the grant period. Of those 14, four of the newly rescued cats are currently in the adoption process (including Baxter, pictured).

These successful placements were made possible by ensuring cats received timely vaccines, parasite prevention, proper nutrition, and a comfortable foster environment while awaiting their forever homes.

These cats represent the many animals who benefit from reliable operational funding — support that helps cats move safely from intake to adoption while maintaining a high standard of care.

Meet Baxter here.

UPDATE: Baxter has been adopted!
