Brindle Buddies & Friends: KONG Toys Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We were granted Kongs, which the dogs loved. We handed them out to all of our foster homes to use with their foster dogs.

The foster dogs enjoyed playing with them along with having frozen peanut butter to lick out.

How many pets did this grant help?

At least 10, but more to come.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Hunter (first two photos) was an owner surrender because his owner become sick and could no longer care for him. He took no time at all to settle into foster care and his favorite toy was the Kong toy. He carried it from one side of the house to another. He loved to toss it up in the air and then catch it again. Hunter has since found a home with a two-legged brother to play with.

Bella (third photo) loved to roll the Kong around until the treats would fall out. Bella has since been adopted to a family who adopted another one of our dogs.

Even though Boyd (fourth photo) isn’t foster anymore, as he was a foster fail, he enjoys his Kong. He destroys almost every toy but will chew the Kong for hours without ever chewing it apart.
