How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The generous grant of $750 was used towards Florence's medical expenses. Florence came to us with two shattered elbows, which required numerous surgeries.

We are happy to say that Florence has been medically cleared and is being placed up for adoption. Thank you, Petfinder Foundation, for your continued support of the Outcast dogs.

Florence was just a toddler when she was adopted from a high[-intake] shelter in Philadelphia. She then came back about a month later after suffering two shattered elbows.

She was turned over to Outcast and was taken immediately to the emergency room. X-rays revealed these horrific breaks and Florence underwent several surgeries to repair them.

She has recently been given the all-clear and we will be placing her up for adoption in the coming weeks.
