$25 was donated on behalf of Boots, our Congo African Gray who has no feet. We bought her a 3-lb. bag of Lafeber's Tropical Fruit Nutri-Berries, her favorite treat!

Boots was able to get a large, long-lasting supply of her favorite treat.

Shortly after Boots’ hatch, it was noticed by the breeder’s assistants that two of the baby African Grays were bleeding from their legs while still in the nestbox with their parents. Mice are believed to have gotten in and chewed off her feet. They pulled the babies and a vet was able to save one, who became Boots, named such because of the surgical “boots” taped on her legs to keep her wounds clean and prevent her from making it worse.
