James, the senior dog we received this grant for, has not been adopted yet, so the grant hasn’t been used. It will help James’ new adopters go home with items to help ease his transition from the shelter to a home environment.
After we applied for the grant, we found out that James has chronic kidney disease. This grant will allow his adopters to go home with a month’s supply of his daily medication as well as a large bag of prescription food. Both of these items are things he will need daily for the rest of his life.
The grant will also cover his adoption fee and allow us to purchase a large orthopedic dog bed for him to have in his new home.
James is an older hound who has lived a rough life, but he is a sweet boy who loves walks and deserves to live out the rest of his life in a home environment. This grant will help James’ adopters go home with items that are vital to him being comfortable in a new home.
