The grant funding helped us to add shelving to our outdoor catio, enriching the lives of our cats as well as making them more visible to potential adopters.
We also received funding for bird feeders to display outside the catio windows, and they have been a huge hit (for both our cats and the local bird population)!

One of our current long-term residents, Cooper (first photo), has been in the open cat room for a little over a week now. He has been fairly antisocial with visitors and therefore hasn’t garnered much attention from potential adopters.
Since we installed the new shelves yesterday, they have become Cooper’s new favorite spot to lounge. Being right up against the window for folks to see has hugely increased his visibility, and has already lead to two meet-and-greets.
While he hasn’t found that special family yet, we know that, with this boost, he will be on his way to a forever home very soon!
