No Voice No Choice Animal Rescue, Inc.: Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We were able to give adoptions to great families for free with the $250 in grant money we received from you. It was great to see the looks on their faces when I told them. The new owners were able to take the money they saved and buy the pups the things they needed, plus more.
It allowed us to get two dogs adopted faster by offering no adoption fees to potential adopters, which in turn helped the dogs get in their forever homes and gave us more room in the rescue to help two more dogs to fill their spots.
How many pets did this grant help?
Two
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Molly (first and second photos) was a 10-year-old Cairn terrier who found herself alone when her mommy and daddy suddenly passed away. Molly was up-to-date on her shots but suffered from a collapsed trachea, which required a more specialized home that would be able to take of her as she got older and would also be able to take care of any future medical needs. We were able to treat her dry eyes and had x-rays performed on the collapsed trachea. The prognosis on the trachea was no surgery at this time. Molly has been adopted.
Shiloh (third and fourth photos) was a sweet little guy who came to the rescue after concerned neighbors were able to save him from the family that owned him and thought he made a better soccer ball than puppy. Shiloh had never seen a vet, so we had him fully vetted, neutered, wormed and microchipped, and found out he was in pretty good overall health.
The couple that adopted Shiloh couldn’t have loved him more and it’s a great feeling to know that Shiloh will never be used as a soccer ball again.
