Helotes Humane Society: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The money from the Sponsor a Pet program was used to provide food and shelter for the sponsored pet. She has yet to be adopted. We do have an interested adopter at the moment, however, so fingers are crossed for her!

The donation helps us provide day-to-day necessities for our animals.

Gretel appears to be a wire-haired pointing griffon mix, an unusual breed that would make a unique addition to your family. She is striking, with her salt-and-pepper highlights and one blue eye. She is affectionate and sensitive, playful and concerned about her people — just wait until she gazes into your eyes! An interesting thing about Gretel is that when you shine a flashlight on her in the dark, her blue eye becomes neon red, and the brown eye becomes green (she might be part alien)! She is very playful with other dogs and people, and seriously LOVES her toys! Balls, stuffies, ropes, Nylabones, or all of the above. She loves to run and jump, so she needs a securely fenced-in yard. She is quite the lizard-hunter :). She rides well in the car. She is about 15 months old, 40 lbs., spayed, and up-to-date on all vaccines and preventatives. Meet Gretel: https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/33172672
