The Petfinder Foundation grant was used for spays and neuters of the animals we intake.

It gave us the ability to spay and neuter animals in our care. The rescue has so many expenses, but one of the most prevalent ones is the spays and neuters that we do for every single animal we adopt out.

The COVID-19 Operation Grant helped our rescue neuter our boy Billy. Billy is a senior 8-year-old shepherd mix. We pulled Billy from one of the local high[-intake] shelters in the Rio Grande Valley. Unfortunately Billy tested positive for heartworms, so he went through heartworm treatment and was neutered prior to his treatment. Billy is now a happy, loving pup. And with the help of organizations such as the Petfinder Foundation, small rescues like ours are able to make a difference in the lives of those who need us the most.
