Beaumont Pets Alive: Emergency Medical Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We needed to do an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery on a 7-year-old Lab mix named Whitie so that she could be pain-free and adoptable.
We had done the surgery on Whitie prior to receiving the grant, but the funds went back to the account it was taken from and we are greatly appreciative of the support we received from the Petfinder Foundation.
And because we had shared her need for surgery, she had an adoption inquiry from out of state. Once she was healed and cleared by our vet, she went to her new home in Michigan.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Whitie came to us from a local shelter red list and we pulled her because we knew that she just needed surgery to have a good, pain-free life. Thanks to the Petfinder Foundation, we were able to do the surgery and she has now found a new home in Michigan!
