We sustained a great deal of damage and loss of supplies and equipment during a tornado event on May 16, 2024, and thanks to the Petfinder Foundation Disaster Grant, we were able to recover some of the lost equipment and most-needed supplies.

Our foster building was most severely damaged and the air conditioner was completely destroyed. This grant allowed us to get screens and cooling fans in the interim until the air conditioner could be replaced.
This was an absolute necessity for our fosters in this heat. It specifically saved Rocky (first photo), Shadow (second photo), and Toffee (third photo) from heat-related illness or worse.
None of the dogs have been adopted to date and they have all been with us extended amounts of time. The situation in Houston has been extraordinarily difficult recently.
