How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

By receiving the cat enrichment grant from the Petfinder Foundation, Athens Animal Rescue Shelter was able to construct an outdoor cattery for our cats to be able to freely and safely play both inside and outside in the fresh air. Our cattery has many obstacles to provide mental and physical stimulation for the cats, along with the ability to soak up their fair share of vitamin D!

Athens Animal Rescue Shelter specifically had three brothers who were very energetic and playful. As soon as they were able to try out the cattery, they had a blast. The boys ran over their new wooden bridge, climbed up and down their scratch poles, and enjoyed a little time sunbathing.
