How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant has helped all the dogs we house here get the enrichment they deserve! We have already filled the Kongs and dispersed through our kennels. With lots of wagging tails, we proceeded to get out the frisbees! With the frisbees we have had many happy dogs outside in our play area chasing them down, wanting to play.

Teddy is a Chihuahua-dachshund mix who has called the shelter his home for quite some time now. Teddy is a very playful dog, meaning the only side people see of him in his kennel is his bouncy, playful nature.
Unfortunately, in our area most people want small, relaxed dogs who want nothing more than to be a couch potato.
This grant of Kongs has helped us give Teddy something to keep him entertained, and to allow him to use his energy for enrichment purposes rather than running around his kennel in circles. Teddy now has prospects of going into a foster home until he finds that perfect fit!
